Bum, McLov & other boat peeps... Need some help...

Oct 6, 2023, 2:12 PM

Got a Bayliner 195. Trim is not working. Blower, bilge, etc is fine. Runs OK. Prop won't lift.

Any thoughts other than gasoline and a match?

i mean, when you try to trim does the hydraulics make a sound and not work, or no action a tall?

I'm going to give you the minimum effort, but maybe helpful

advice:

First of all, bayliner...lulz.

It's probably an electric motor that powers a hydraulic trim (purely my guess). Does it make noise like it *wants* to move? If not, bad switch, bad fuse, loose wire, etc.

If the *juice* is getting to the trim, but it got no #### to lift it, maybe you have some sort of blown seal where it can't build pressure... OR... maybe your fluid level is too low.

torch the boat.
