My roommate seems to think I don't have any shot at the job I interviewed for yesterday because they didn't set a follow up. This dampens my spirits, but I'm hopeful I can get jounge suggestions on how to resign or negotiate some time next week.

he was about to be fired for not completing some certifications, after being warned and rewarned about it for a year. Finally, the day before he was to be canned,he went into my bosses office and demanded a 20% raise for him AND THE WHOLE DEPT, or else he was going to quit.
After the laughing subsided, he got walked to the door.

The recruiter said the people she had to speak with were off-site until next week and to not fret if I'd not heard anything. I will respect this until Wednesday.
If they know it is a no on the phone, I really wish they'd just say right them.

isn't bad...at my current job, I didn't hear back for like 3 weeks and I had assumed it was dead. Sometimes the cogs move slowly in the corporate world.

I know I had some missteps along the way. Hardest question for me to answer is why I want to leave where I am. The reason is pay, lack of growth, and general frustration. I feel like saying lack of growth has a way of making one look bad.

the recent growth the bank has gone through. I explained how I have 45% more employees than in 2009, but the same level of support and that no new HR jobs are coming open. Where I am mad at myself was giving an example of even if I got totally different job, I'd never be fully away from payroll. That they'd keep running to me. I told them that it took 4 months for my previous department to stop asking me for help.
The point was to show that I do pretty good work. I think I showed my hand of not really wanting to do payroll anymore.

every employee of AT&T's. It would take a serious lack of integrity to ever consider working for such a terrible company. If I had spoken to the people I spoke with this morning in person, I would have gone to jail for assault/murder.

I did a 1.1% raise and a hand-me-down industrial laser to work with. There is always next year right?
