At 12:00, we are going to learn a lot about how Conference Championships losses

At 12:00, we are going to learn a lot about how Conference Championships losses are viewed by the committee. This will be impactful this year (obviously), but in coming years in how the title games are viewed.

Will Texas and Penn State, both of whom acquitted themselves well in losing, drop below Notre Dame (with one loss but did not play this weekend)?

Will SMU fall behind Bama and out of the CFP?

All three of those losing teams played well in the Championship Game.

IF, and I mean IF, the CFP Committee does what they say they believe, this is your ranking.

1. Oregon
2. Georgia
3. Arizona State
4. Boise State

5. Penn State
6. Texas
7. Notre Dame
8. Ohio State
9. Tennessee
10. Indiana
11. Clemson
12. SMU

Right? If so, we are headed to Austin. Cade in Texas.....wow.

No Boise State love?

I saw Arizona State with a 1st Round home game as Big 12 Champ, why wouldn’t ACC Champ get that now if ASU has 1st round bye? Doesn’t conf championships matter?

Whatever choice(s) you make makes you. Choose wisely.

Because ASU was ranked ahead of us in the last poll and we won't jump them IMO

If they drop SMU out for Alabama they have revealed the CFP as a fraud.***

Might be spot on, but I am not sure about PSU and Indiana's positions - maybe drop each a spot?

Am I misunderstanding how the playoff committee will do the rankings? I thought that they would rank them like they normally do, where automatic bids might not be from the top 12. I don't think that we did anything to jump South Carolina, so I don't know how we could jump SMU and have them stay in the playoff.

If they are going to determine the teams and then rerank them for the bracket then maybe we go in front of SMU, but that is not my understanding of how they will do it.
