Why is this Spurrier story even a big deal? Even if he was a little buzzed, why should I care? It's not like he was coaching drunk, he was doing a TV show. I can imagine the headlines now- "Spurrier has beer then records TV show."
Hard hitting news.

What parent would want to send their kid to be coached by Spurrier if he handles himself this way? It puts USC in a pickle. Support him and it damages the University (a state supported university). Or, fire him. That would be fine by me. Spurrier is a smart a$$ and his snide remarks and behavior towards Clemson...it would make me smile a bit. It's not like the guy need the job or the money.

I'm just saying that I don't like the guy...call it just desserts. I shouldn't even to justify or defend myself on this one. If he was indeed drunk on air, I hope there are repercussions for him. The man's a complete di*k and his behavior towards Clemson only strengthens my dislike for the man.

The video will be edited to a 5 min display of slurred ramblings and go viral. Like it or not, SOS is a newsmaker.......this will be very embarrassing to the cluckers before it's all said and done.

I would not want my kid to be coached

by a man that does not respect himself or his university enough to act as a professional. It is not the act of drinking, or even getting drunk-heck we have (most Bravo/Prodigal) all been there. It is the fact that he can not stay sober enough to do a national show.
It's akin to a broadcaster, reporter, politician getting on camera drunk.
It is unacceptable. Lead by example, and this is not the example I would want set for my kid.

In a nutshell.....

Capons have long asserted that Dabo is a clown coach.
This video is long overdue evidence than while our coach may be filled with the spirit of Clemson at times, at least he doesn't have to indulge in spirits to cope with the sorry saga his life has become.

He was the coach of Alabama very briefly before it was discovered he went to a strip club. No big deal right? He's a representative of the University of South Carolina. He's made an ad against driving and alcohol already. If he can't stay sober for a few hours to do a simple show, perhaps it's in the best interest he step down and let someone else do it.

Gacia was kicked off the team for showing up at a student function drunk. I realize it was the last straw, but you can say Spurrier has had some chances, too. His team is on probation.
Garcia was probably in front of about 300, SLurrier was representing the school, himself and the team in front of 1000's.
