There are so many variables. Easy schedules, player injuries, COVID now, etc etc. I hope we go to 12 teams. Heck, the Tampa Bay Bucks were 11-5 last year and didn't even win their division . The best team at the end of the year can drastically change as the year goes along.

Obviously not a chance if they do that. If Georgia beats us and has 1 loss to Bama, Oklahoma and Ohio State run the table, we are out. Then throw ND into the equation and we are obviously out.
We would be the 6th team.

Not sure a regular season including conf. championships have ever had 4 undefeated teams. Heck it's extremely rare to have two.
The better question is who are the 4 if all 5 of those teams have 1 loss?

I love hypotheticals. In your case, the 4 undefeated teams would get into the playoffs. However, the odds of there being even 3 undefeated teams, much less 4, are only slightly better than me winning the lottery (and I have never bought a ticket).
So, I could just as easily come up with a scenario that is more likely than yours.
Every team in P5 has three losses (except Clemson, who runs the table). ND has 3 losses. UCF, UAB, and Coastal Carolina run the table.
Who gets in?
Not gonna happen, but we could play hypotheticals.
Rules:
1. Win 'em all and your in.
2. Lose one and you need some help.
3. Lose two and you're out, barring a miracle of major proportions.

I still think if Uga beats us and then loses to Bama in a close game we will get left out if there are 3 unbeaten teams in the end.
