If Trump would be so easy to beat in the general, why worry?

If anything, I would think the libs on this board would be celebrating the guaranteed loss for the GOP in November because of Trump.
Why all the angst and worry?

Hillary is the razor thin margin lesser of two major evils.

She may well be indicted. On a positive note, I think Trump is the lesser of the evils available in the confederacy of dunces now known as the GOP.
I won't be voting so I don't much care.

Don't you know in the libs eyes it's much worse than beheading a Christian or burning a Jordanian alive. They never complain about that.

Are you asking why it's wrong to torture people?
I can think of a couple of reasons:
1. Does it even work? I'm sure I'd say whatever someone wanted to hear if i was being tortured.
2. It's easy to say yeah, it's ok to torture terrorist. And with that simple premise I would agree. However, doesn't it concern you in the least for the government to have the power to torture people? Sure, it will probably never happen to you or me statistically but it does happen to innocent people all the time. How do you know for sure we are torturing terrorist or that it's even effective?
Remember, any rights your willing to give up for other you are willing to give up for yourself.

It's mostly just pearl-clutching and shaming

As you say, it's not that they're worried that Trump will win the election. It's that pointing out how awful Trump is and that he's the front-runner for the Republicans right now makes Republicans look bad, and it confirms for them all the prejudices they had of the right. Of course, Sanders does the same thing for right, but since Sanders is much more of a gentleman, conservatives don't have to pretend they're shocked that Democrats would support someone "like that."

And that's frightening.
It's equally frightening that the next choice will be Hillary (Bernie doesn't have a chance).
So no, there's no gloating here. We're genuinely screwed.

I agree with this ^
I too think Trump would be a win for Dems, but at the same time, anytime someone is in the race, they have a chance to win, even if its a small chance. you just never know, so for that reason, i think he has some folks nervous

Because I am a Republican and this entire situation makes me sick. I hate Hillary Clinton and the gutter trash of America are handing her the Presidency on a platter. The Dems have a historically bad candidate, this is the most important election in a long time, and morons are pissing away the opportunity. When Hillary wins, libs will control the Supreme Court for a generation.
Republicans come into this election in great shape. Strong control of state governments and the House. Yet the Walmart dwellers are too dumb to control.
This is akin to us lining up for a 25 yard game winning FG and instead Trump supporters have decided to run a fake FG. It is Insanity
