We lost a game 14-10, so let's fold up the football program?
Not everything goes perfectly in life. Adults understand that. There's a game next Saturday.

however, there's a point to be made that Bowden was castigated on here for saying such things. Dabo is loved on here yet he says the same things when the losses come. Now, perhaps it's different people saying different things... but the fact remains that if you didn't like it from one guy you shouldn't like it from another.

execution in the red zone, dropped balls, and penalties and that we're working our arses off to make sure we don't make those mistakes again. The top 15 crap is TB-speak and Clemson fans are sick of it.

Your problem, and a lot of others are that you read into things too much, b/c you are just plain upset with losses. Trust me, I hate losing. But I don't come here with negative talk after every loss. It doesn't help anyone.
You know the players and coaches are working their arses off to correct and fix things. You and everyone else doesn't need him to say that. To make it "fee" better. Doesn't matter what the head coach says.

I think it's best for Dabo that he not sound like TB. All

we have heard the last 9 years were "we're one play away, this team lost too, etc". If I were Dabo, I would try as hard as possible to not sound like TB. The "top 15 team" line was definitely Bowden-esque.

He should say the coaches & the players made mistakes.

They only blamed the players for making execution mistakes, as though Napier planned and called a perfect game. I'd like to hear them say:
"We all made mistakes. The coaches could have game-planned, prepared the kids, and play-called better. And the players could have executed better. We'll all work hard to learn from our mistakes and we'll do better next time."

credit for that. However, I'm not real happy that we have a coaching staff that is learning on the job.

Swinney said, "we got beat. Coaching, execution and just poor mental mistakes." Then, Napier said, "I could have done better, having players where they need to be to make the plays." And they BOTH talked about the poor play calling in the red zone. I actually think our coaches are fessing up. My concern is the "7 points" statement. Sounds reminiscent of Tommy's "one play away" mantra.

RU: Sorry to be a doubting Thomas, but if the coaches admitted to poor game-planning or play-calling after the TCU game, would you please provide links? I'd love to see them.
Except for maybe right after the GT game when Dabo said they got out-coached, I haven't seen the coaches say that they could have game-planned or play-called better. All of their quotes about coaching better imply that they need to coach the players to play better, not that they the coaches themselves could have game-planned or play-called better.
They've said stuff like this.
http://www.tigernet.com/view/story.do?id=8102
"Swinney said that he feels like he has a team that is on the cusp of winning games against good teams and ranked opponents, but now the onus is on the coaches to teach the players how to win."
"We had plays there to be made."
“Now we have to teach them how to win."

him to say??? He isn't whining. He talked about the great effort by C.J. Spiller. What should he have said that would satisfy some of you -- "We lost games we should have won. We are losers. We can't win the big games. I should be fired." Good grief, LAY OFF THE GUY!!

Maybe there is a reason nobody answered you on the other thread. Maybe some of you should start pulling for the coks instead of just being one. You know Dabo said they made mistakes coaching as well as the players did today in his media broadcast. This is his 1st full year coaching I hope yall didn't expect a National Championship this year. It takes a little while so relax and show some support like real fans should.
GO TIGERS!!!

Do you think for one second you wanted those kids to catch the ball anymore than they wanted to catch the ball? As a fan, it's aggravating and worth complaining about, but to attack a kid? Why don't you just get into a 'your momma' word exchange with them. The maturity level would be about the same.
