If there is a 3(+) way tie for 2nd place in the ACC and Duke

and Clemson are part of the group, it appears that the head to head loss by Clemson to Duke is not a specific criteria for elevation of the Blue Devils over the Tigers.

Is that accurate?

It would be if they also beat the team we are in a three way tie with. Say for instance Louisville only losses to Duke and Miami. But Duke losses to UNC and FSU. 3 teams would have two losses, but Duke would get the nod because they beat both Clemson and Louisville head to head.

The first tiebreak would be record against the group. So if the 3 way tie happens to be between FSU, Duke, and Clemson we would be out at 0-2 vs the others.

If it ends up something like Clemson, UNC, and Duke where everyone is 1-1 in the group or something like Duke, Louisville, and Clemson where Duke is 2-0 and Clemson/Louisville are both 0-1 you'd move on to other tiebreakers.

We will finish strong but we won't play in the ACCCG. You are hoping
for Fla State and Duke to lose 3 and us go the rest of the way unbeaten.
I say it ain't gonna happen even if we win out.

In my scenario, FSU can win out and play in the Championship

Game. No problem there. Winning the rematch in Charlotte outweighs the early season loss. We'll need them to beat the rest of our competition where possible. Then, with a 3(+) way tie for second, our head to head loss to Duke is not a lone determining factor in determining the 2nd place team.

FSU is inconsequential...We win out and Duke loses 3...

That is the only requirement.

Duke loses 2 and we have a shot as long as someone else

Is tied that we beat and they played and lost too or someone one of us didn’t play and we can win the tiebreaker further down the list. We also can’t finish behind someone else like a UNC or UL with 1 loss. Neither of them play FSU so no auto loss(not that I think FSU isn’t beatable)on their schedules.

FSU and Duke don't have to lose 3...

People need to stop saying that because it's so improbable anyway.

Just let FSU win out. Then if we're in a 3-way tie for 2nd, it's about as good as we can expect.

No doubt anyone who's a real Tiger wants another shot at the Noles...
