Arrgh! A dilemma watching the game ...

I fear I already know the answer, but some of the great minds here may be of help:
Lost internet/cable during Ian's visit. It has yet to return with the game closing in.
I can piggyback on our Verizon, but the Data charge will be ugly. Since my wife is recvering from surgery, I'm not heading to the local bar (and if you'e been in this town, you know it ain't that mice a bar to begin with.
And we're too far away from the big city to rig up an antenna.
So ... any ideas to watch the game without mortgaging the house to Verizon are greatly appreciated.

... while I was picking up debris, my neighbor was looking at a leaning pine tree. As soon as we exchanged the "everyone all right?" greetings, he asked me if we had internet. They're out as well.

Maybe not the best but I'd mortgage the house, bite the bullet with Verizon, then plead mercy for them when Bill comes in ( because of internet) etc... Not your fault and throw in your bride had surgery. Surely it wouldn't be a good look for them if that story went public. Lol but I bet they'd waive the charge.

I did that last December to watch Iowa st game. Obviously a little tounge in cheek with my response above but Verizon would work with you, even post charges.

I wish I could think of a solution. Maybe listen on the radio, then catch the replay when your internet is restored? Yep--it's the worst-case scenario.

Verizon charges you for data on your phone? Mine is unlimited on phone, I only get charged for tethered data. Watch it on phone.

I don't know what your data limit is for your plan, but you can check your remaining balance on your account and then set a limit on your phone. If your wife also has a smart phone you have two lines of data to use (unless it's shared). You might be able to reduce the resolution of the video depending the app you are streaming with. You can also pause during timeouts and long time between plays (like after a TD)to reduce data consumed. Good luck!
