Scott isn't ready.. I say he hire

Lincoln Riley from ECU. Triple his salary to 600k, save money from Chads contract. Scott is one of the best recruiters in the country but he's not ready to take over as OC. He'll be patient and wait till he is. He loves Clemson and isn't going anywhere. I would hate to see us put him in a position he can't handle then push him out. Got a long career ahead of him. But he's not ready yet. Big difference between coaching WRs and OC.

Dabo was WR coach and recruiting coordinator before he became Head Coach! Scott is ready to be OC.

Dabo is a CEO. He's good BC of his hires. He couldn't call plays well for either side of the ball. He manages the big picture. Just gets credit for their actions or blame for their fallilure. Coordinators take a lot of heat and need to know their stuff. He's not ready.
If Dabo didn't have great coordinators like Venables we wouldn't be the same

Coach Riley has done a great job at ECU but I'd love to know who's on Dabo's list. All coaches keep a list of replacements. Wonder if Coach Spavital at Texas A&M is on there? Go Tigers!!

Likewise.
However, I just call stupidity out when I see it. If you have some reasoning behind your opinion though, I'll be glad to listen.
Do enlighten us. On what do you base your opinion. You obviously must know Coach Scott or others who work with him, been coached by him, or that have worked against him that have helped you come to this concrete conclusion. If not, then I stand by my initial statement.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm glad that you didn't have access to a computer when Coach Swinney was promoted from WR coach to head coach and when Coach Swinney hired a defensive coordinator two years out of high school.
CDS has made nothing but home run hires since the Napier fiasco. If he says that Jeff Scott is ready, that should be all you need.
One more thing. I have actually met Coach Scott on a couple of occasions. He strikes me as very sharp and mature beyond his years. Have you met him?

Well, calling plays in a bowl game should give something of a preview of what he can do. However, he'll have to put together a plan each week during the season and not have the luxury of the time from the SCU game and the bowl. Go Tigers!!

credentials to be able to make that statement as a matter of fact ?
Or, are you simply stating your opinion ?
There is a big difference between an opinion and a fact.

If not now for Jeff....

Then it will never be at Clemson. At that point I could almost see Chad giving Jeff a shot as SMU OC.
