If I were Dabo I would take my $60 million and leave Clemson AD and the BOT

To try and make Clemson fans happy. The negative print, comments and support from fans would my reason to step away from the game. Clemson fans and the Administration have a tendency to run HC’s out of town. The media is not going to stop with the negative coverage about Dabo as long as we buy into it and run him off.
Let’s start with the ugly way Ken Hatfield was run out of town. Then it was Tommy Bowden. Now we are trying to run off the most successful HC in Clemson football history.
I don’t believe the game has passed Dabo by or he does not care about winning. He is a coach with morals, integrity and character. Dabo’s teams have won 10 or more games since 2011. Now because his team is going threw some adversity you are ready to get rid of him. Dabo is trying to retool the Tigers the right way.
I honestly believe if he leaves Clemson most likely will not be an elite team again. We may be a 10 or 11 winning team but we will not play for NC’s and we will become an above average team.
IMO Dabo deserves and has earned fan support and time to see what can be done to get back to the CFP’s. Improvements are not going to happen over night. Even with the TP it took FSU about 3 years to make the top 4. Of our FG kicker had made a make able FG we win and FSU has at least 1 loss.
I use to think our fans were special and were better than most other programs but now I am not so sure now that we are any different than most other schools. The coots have Shane Beamer on the hot set and some coots would fire him today. Every HC at SC including Spurrier has struggled in their 3rd year.
Our fans are acting like coot fans. After all Dabo has accomplished at Clemson some fans are ready to send him packing.
It’s the fan like this who have taken the enjoyment and fun out of college football.
Who do you think would come to Clemson and take us to the level of success that Dabo has. We are sure showing our appreciation for Dabo success over 15 years just because we are going through some difficult times. Alabama is not the same team they were a few years ago and it’s much easier to recruit there than any other school.
The dynamics of college football has changed drastically. It may take 3 or 4 years to reach the top 4 consistently. I know Dabo has recruited some great talent for 2024 and 2025.
When a coach runs his program with ethics, character and integrity it takes more time to build success. It took Clemson over 30 years to hire a HC to win 2 NC’s and several ACC titles along with 7 consecutive beating of the coots. Players like DW, TL, ETN and the awesome WR’s we had during the teens don’t grow on trees. The talent pool has been a little slim the last few years. And NIL and the TP has changed the game. If we have to cheat to win I would rather lose games.
You fans with little patience make it miserable for the fans who truly love Clemson and appreciate what Dabo has accomplished at Clemson. I remember when all many fans wanted was to win at least 10 games and beat SC. Instead we won national championships, conference titles and played in the CFP’s several consecutive years. This is our first year where the team has really struggled. A missed makeable FG cost us the FSU game and a missed FG Saturday cost us the game. We would be 6-2 if those FG’s had been made and the RB had not Fumbled at the goal line. Is Dabo to blame for these mistakes.
A few teams have been successful using the TP but do you want Dabo to pull a Deion Sanders. Who does he kick of the team and who replaced that player. By the way How’s that working out for Colorado now. We don’t know for sure that Dabo did not try to use the TP. Are people willing to give more IPTAY money and pay more for tickets so we can illegally use NIL funds to get better recruits.
Try to remember Dabo made commitments to these recruits and their families. I admire him for stick to his commitments. How would you feel if Dabo kicked your son off of the team took his scholarship and gave it to a kid through the TP ???
I would like to know from some of you who have given up on Dabo and some of his coaches what your solutions are.
It’s a #### shame adults can sometimes act like children over a football game. Personally, I am behind Dabo, his staff and this team. I hope many of you will try to post more supportive comments about Dabo, his coaches and the team. !!!
Roast me if you like but I am still “All In “.

of college football. And they shouldn't.
Winning is all that really matters; graduates of this "holier-than-thou" program end up arrested or charged with crazy ### pretty regular. And for the record, Dabo "stepped away" a few years ago and it's obvious to anyone that does not have some strange man-love for him.

I don’t want Dabo to leave Clemson. But I also don’t think he is above criticism. The expectations that he helped inflate all preseason versus the fact we are at the bottom of the worst league in the country are creating this crap storm. We haven’t lost 1 nail biter. We have consistently looked poorly coached and undisciplined. It’s his job to fix that and shouldn’t expect us all to act like sucking is ok. Losing is not ok here. Nor should it ever be. And I’m afraid the game has passed him by. He’s a good CEO. Hire people and let them do their job. Go Tigers. Beat somebody, anybody, please.

well…bye
If he is incapable of adapting to the current landscape, hiring assistants that give us our best chance, or taking criticism (thin skin, lashing out at fans) and this slide continues I’m not so sure he would be missed
I appreciate what he has accomplished for Clemson Football
I hope he can turn it around

I wouldn't blame Dabo if he decided he was tired of coaching and retired but if he thinks Clemson fans are just a bunch of old meanies and that he is gonna go coach somewhere making 10 mil a season where the fans will be thrilled with a .500 record then he (and you) are deluding yourselves.

I still remember that guy who made ESPN when he called into WCCP and was actually crying on the radio when Bowden got fired. It was perhaps the greatest , most entertaining moment ever in WCCP’s history.
Will say the pity for Hatfield is a new one on me. Clemson University caused what happened in the 90’s , not the fans.

I wish he would do the same thing, he’s got nothing else to prove. Would throw my hands up and say to hell with it. Then Clemson should conduct the search through TNET because we have some of the best coaches in America here. They ran DJ off, they’ll run Cade off, and they’ll run off anyone who doesn’t help them feel better about themselves. The funniest part is in the next breath they’ll go “wE aRe A FaMilY” no you aren’t any better then the coots and might be worse.

should regret either decision.
Dabo is not going anywhere. There is a difference between roasting and voicing frustration. Clemson nation is voicing frustration.

I believe that Clemson fans are hopeful that Dabo can fix this.

But he doesn't have an unlimited amount of time to do so. The clock is ticking, as it should be for someone who is paid to make sure we are an elite program and is falling far short of that mark.
My concerns are as follows:
1. Why didn't Dabo see the huge risk in some of the staff decisions he made in the last few years? Why did he think hiring position coaches with no coaching experience was a good idea? Why did he promote from within for coordinator positions when much more qualified candidates were available?
2. Why does Dabo continue to dig his heels in on the transfer portal, to the point that he has gone out of his way to make negative public comments about it?
3. He seems to be minimizing the issues on our team. Does he truly see the problems? And if so, can he actually fix them?
Dabo has earned the right to try to fix this, but we are on year three of our decline. Tick, tick, tick...

Dabo is not that thin-skinned. He is stubborn, which I think and hope means he will be all-in to fix the problems and prove the naysayers wrong.

He's stubborn in how he does things, insisting on things be done a certain way, etc. He has been slow to change and adapt on occasion.
But he is also thin-skinned in that he seems overly concerned with what media members and fans think. He never misses a chance to speak at length when responding to criticism of him or the program.

To a point, you may be correct. However, Dabo does not maintain a presence on social media. And, he's proud enough that he will probably want to prove to his detractors that they are wrong. I also am hoping that he's had an awakening and will want to make the changes required in order to restore and maintain his legacy.

I would keep making money and turn it all around. What an amazing story that would be if he battled back and one another National Title in a few years or so. Even playing in another one would be huge.
