If you were a U of SCAR fan......

Would you rather have a winning championship level football team or a winning championship bass fishing team? Before you answer, consider some facts: A beautiful football stadium and successful football program costs millions yearly to run and renovate. A bass boat only needs a little paint yearly and some oil and gas. There may be a few incidental expenses such as new fishing line or lures. But, overall, it is a low budget operation. When following a football team to playoff births around the country, football fans must endure the pains of excessive hotel rates, airplane and bowl tickets, restaurants, etc. Then, there is the added expense of shipping all the trophies back to Clemson. Not to mention having to expand the trophy case each and every year. And the cost of all those rings, wow! Contrast this to attending a bass fishing tournament. You need only a baseball hat, a six pack of brew and a fold out chair. If you win, the trophy is likely easily obtainable from the local Dollar General store needing only a yellow stick on label and a little tape o hold the winner's name in place. Now that I think about it, the U of SCAR coots may be on to something here.

I would probably lose interest in sports all together.
Also this may be the most far fetched "what if" I've ever seen on TNET.

TLDR. Glad I don't have to ponder such unfortunate things.***

Come on, your not being reasonable with a comparison of a football program and Bass Fishing. Now if you really want to get down to brass( or is that bass) tactics, you need to compare similar #s.
Clemson has 3 National Championships in Football. The Coots have 3 National Championships in Equestrian Sports. Now make your comparison.

Please don’t denigrate the ancient and time honored traditions of fishing by connecting it to anything as sordid as the U of S.C.

If you think there is very little upkeep on a bass boat, you

have obviously never owned one. I gave up the fishing years ago, because seemingly EVERY time I took the boat out, something broke that cost me money. Motor foot, trolling motor, steering linkage, etc. The few fish I caught were costing me about $100 each, seemed like. Still, probably nowhere close to what it would cost to actually maintain the Roach in its present state. That would have to be at least $600 a year.
