maybe but his stats and ERA are not overly impressive. Decent addition but not what we must add to improve next year in the postseason.

Does he throw mid-90s? I had a hard time finding much about him other than his Perfect Game profile and that he threw high 80s coming out of high school

I saw on X/Twitter that he can hit 96, but I don't see any data online to back it up, one can hope he's increased it at Catawba.

He improved from his freshman year, lowered his walks/9 by half (5.9 to 2.7) and lowered his HR/9 by 80% (1.25 to 0.25). His K/9 stayed the same, but it sits around 10.25 which is slightly lower than Mahlstedt's 11.4, so not anything to worry about. Granted these are all D2 numbers, but at least he's shown definite control progression year-over-year. I don't think he'll repeat the numbers next year, but I think he could be a 3.50 to 4.00 ERA guy out of the pen.

I gotta be honest man every freaking pitcher we get coming out of high school or coming into Clemson always throws harder than they actually do once they get here. I’ll believe that he pitches in the mid 90’s when I see it. If he tops out mid 90’s then he’s just another 90 mph guy so he can control it

The two pickups so far seem like lottery ticket/diamond-in-the-rough pickups that might not cost a lot of NIL money, I wonder if some bigger name prospects are in the works...
