A Virginia Tech vs Ga Tech game was suspended for lightening in 2000 and it was never resumed. Eventually, they just cancelled it altogether.
Our game against Duke in 2001 was postponed because of 911 and was played the week after the SCAR game in late November.
Our 1963 SCAR game in Columbia was postponed due to the Kennedy Assassination and was played the next week on Thanksgiving Day.

Newest info from state could have mandatory evacs over the weekend. If this happens, they could turn the interstates around and run everything away from the coast. In the event this happens, that could affect the game on saturday evening.

If it's tracking toward SC coast with a Sunday arrival, let's say, and the Governor wants everything in place to deal with it by Saturday night, there would be no State Police left in the Upstate to work traffic for the game.
Remote but still possible.
