I paid off the 283 powerpack V8 Chevy engine yesterday. The numbers on the block indicate it came from a 66-67 Chevelle. I imagine the Powerglide transmission was in the same body.

So I'm looking for a body to put this in. No, not like that, I'm talking engine and transmission not sechual stuff.

My ablsolute favorite would be a plain jane '66 two door Chevy II but the probability of finding one is below zero. What'd ya think about an old truck of either breed?

I considered a Vega or Pinto but this engine has the factory exhaust manifolds with it so I'd really like to use them. Something that small would require fenderwell headers. I don't want a hotrod. I'm building this one stock even if I have to sleeve the cylinders.
