Wilkie will be fine. If we could just get Teo up to the plate in bunt situations that would be a blessing. Then we could keep him in for his defense

He is the 9 hole and we don’t know if his defense can be replaced. Obviously monte would’ve tried somebody else by now if we did.

Lol. He’s a catcher. He doesn’t need to hit if he can play solid defense. Receive the ball, block the ball, throw the ball. Those 3 he does. And seems to have a good connection with pitchers. Thats a big part of it. And if i remember correct he did have a few clutch hits this weekend against the Coots.

Williams needs to get healthy enough where he can play behind the plate bc Wilkie bat is killing us yes he's a defensive catcher but again he's not really gunning runners down every time someone steals on us. He's 2 of 4 throwing guys out with 3 pass balls this season not exactly a defensive guru. Wharton can play CF according to CML earlier in the season said he can play all 3 spots in the OF. So why not let Sam Weatherly get a start at LF, and let Wharton slide over to CF. Beer isn't the best fielder either, would be nice to kick Williams bend HP, & allow Beer to play some 1B. Why not let Jolly play C if Wilkie can't continue to hit. How long is CML gonna allow Wilkie to keep starting and keep hitting under the Mendoza line. Obviously that .400 from the end of last season was a fluke. This will all be settled once Meredith is healthy enough to take over Center field. I really don't understand why Weatherly hasn't got an AB at all this year he was supposed to be this big time 2 way player and so far we've only seen him pitch. Hawkins however on the other hand need to be in the top 6 of the batting order. His power is legit. I would like to see a line up similar to this until Meredith gets back to 100%.
Wilkie hitting .148 right now Two hitting .167 right now
Davidson SS Wharton CF Beer DH Cromwell 3B Williams 1B Hawkins 2B Jolly C Weatherly LF or Matt Cooper Hall RF or Bo Majo

Curious why you think Weatherly, with 0 ABs and 0 innings played in the field this season will be a better solution than Teodosio. Sure, give Weatherly, Cooper, Majkowski, Hall, etc. a couple ABs and some garbage innings in the field, but you're not going to throw them in the starting lineup in ACC play as unproven players. Obviously Teodosio proved enough to start over all of them.

Teo and Wilkie are both struggling at the plate right now. Teo has done a good job for what he’s been asked to do. Kier Meredith will be the guy come the end of the month once he’s back from injury. Will be interesting to see what lineup looks like when he gets back. Wilkie just has to continue doing a great job behind the dish and it’s his job to lose
