Coots Schedule 2015: You think 2014 coots are bad...
Oct 16, 2014, 7:49 AM
|
|
September 3: North Carolina (in Charlotte) - Toss up September 12: Kentucky - W September 19: at Georgia - L September 26: UCF - W October 3: at Missouri - Toss up (possible loss) October 10: LSU - L October 17: Vanderbilt - W October 24: Open Date October 31: at Texas A&M - L November 7: at Tennessee -L November 14: Florida - L November 21: The Citadel - W November 28: Clemson - L (Our offense will be rolling next year, hopefully our inexperience D have gotton better by the end of year)
Only guarantee win in their schedule is Citadel. They could lost all remaining games and could end up between 2-9 to 5-7 type season. They break in new QB (their backup has yet to see playing field this year). They lose Davis (highly likely) along with some linemen although their defense will be improvement over this year. Overall, they are going to have a really terrible year in making in 2015. Their greatest ever dream run is over and done with.

But as it stands now, two SEC teams may make the playoffs this year, so that alone puts the Chickens in the top 20 to start 2015.

Only to abruptly fall out like this year...

I doubt in my lifetime, if they see another streak of consecutive weeks ranked like they had recently. While at the same time, I think we are about to start a similar streak, but longer this time.

Agree w/King Ranch ...they have little to hope for beyond what Spurrier did for them (streak against Clemson) . They will never be on par w/Ga or UF in their own division , and UT and Mizzou have better recruiting footprints than the Coots. They have done very well since 2009 ...but anyone but the hardheaded hard core Chicken fan can see that ut is winding on down now.

Georgia is a mainstay and UF wont be down for long. Muschamp will eventually be fired and they will get things ironed out in Gainesville. UT is the team thats on the rise and Jones has them headed the right direction. UT is recruiting at an extremely high level and has been the past 2 years. Its going to be a 3 legged race in the East for years to come with UGA, UF, and UT with Mizzou being a wild card every now and again.

I'm not so sure about that LSU loss, actually. LSU is nothing special this year, and Les Miles has been around for what? 13 years or so? When are they going to swap that weirdo out?

Kentucky is on the uptick too ...no way would I guarantee a win at Willy B next year against the 2nd best team in the Bluegrass state.

UK as a stepping stone. I doubt he will be there for long and I think Michigan comes calling this off season.

Ky will beat the crap out of USuC next year...Stoops knows he is in a good place. However the only program who can lure Stoops away is Florida, not Michigan...and it could happen...I am predicting if the cluckers are 5-7, Ball Sack is gone

Coots always wet their pants against LSU

They appear to choke it and think of their opponents as just too big to defeat even when they are doing well against them (they have same tendency against Auburn). Besides LSU isn't that bad this year, its just SEC West is unusually strong this year because typical bottom feeders are running the show in West.

I have to give them credit for their OOC schedule. Even though no away games (one neutral vs UNC), it is murderer's row compared to most of the other SEC teams.
