corner had people waiting in line in 2 different directions getting gas.

I've never seen anyone waiting in line there to get gas. Or anything, really.

their gas vehicle? I'm going to take the under, but barely. I was filling up my diesel can at QT and had a lady eyeing me, not sure what she was thinking but I suspect filling up with diesel was running through her mind.
