You ever stick your fingers in something, and then regret it almost immediately?

Went digging around in a drawer looking for the biggest of 6 or 7 spatulas (because everybody needs 6 or 7 spatulas) that were tangled in a mess of 6 or 7 pairs of tongs (because everybody needs 6 or 7 sets of tongs). Found the spatula I wanted and forcefully extracted it, and also discovered that there was something sharp in the bottom of the drawer. Don't keep knives in there because I'm not a savage, so...maybe a potato peeler or something?
Anyway, bled IN the drawer, ON the drawer, on the floor, through a couple paper towels and bandaids. Oddly, it didn't hurt--not when it happened, or later in the evening, or this morning. Might not have even known I did it if not for blood. This morning is the first chance I've had to assess the damage.

Stuck my hand in a sack of taters to grab a few and my thumb sank right through a mushy one. I considered just cutting it off.

No, not THAT. I stuck my hand in a bush to try and set a target to shoot with my rifle. As I reached in to move the branch to make a space for the target, I noticed my hand was black and crawling. WASPS. At least a dozen on my hand. I'd grabbed a wasp nest.

for 50 feet at least, I could have given CJ Spiller a run for his money.
If I had put my hand in a blowtorch, or sawed it off at the wrist with a dull, rusty hacksaw, wood knot have hurt any less.

Say you've got a wound on your body, you would want to keep it clean to avoid infection.
How come you can have external hemorrhoids, and smear poop and blood and whatnot all together, but those don't get infected?

and an icepick went straight up under one of her finger nails about 1/2 inch deep. She just pulled it out and wrapped a band aid around it. Also happened with a piece of dried spaghetti once. Same thing. One of the toughest PEOPLE I've ever met.

You have no idea of which you speak, son.
I'll let flow0440® chime in on the number of whippings he received from my grandmother. When she was a school teacher in Mississippi, she once broke a paddle in half on some kid's a>ss. We're talking like 3/8" thick oak here.

dishwasher i was emptying. I was just in 'empty this' mode, and grabbed it like it was a baseball.
It's weird feeling the blades cut in without pain. It wasn't terrible - the worst was the tip of my middle finger. That bladed cut directly 'down' on the finger tip about 1/8", through part of my fingernail.
I could make it talk like one of chinese otomaphone thangs

When I was working at Potbelly Deli in Clemson. One of the meat slicers had an auto lock for the blade when you turned it off, but the other did not. I went to clean the one that didn't and did not realize the blade was still spinning. Laid my thumb open pretty nicely.
