Spurrier at his best vs. Dabo at his worst

Spurrier's 4 best years were 2010-2013. 9-5, 11-2, 11-2, 11-2 42 wins, 3-1 in bowls. Darn good. But, he followed that with 7-6, 2-4 and resigning.
Dabo's worst four years (not including his first 3 where he was building the program) were 2021-2024. 10-3, 11-3, 9-4, 10-4 40 wins, 2-2 in bowls.
So, coot fans can boast of this: The best four years in school history are slightly better than the worst 4 years in Dabo's career at Clemson.
As Dabo said years ago, "They ain't Clemson, and they never will be."

Spurrier always has been a smarmy guy, but he stooped to a new low when he went to usuc. It’s a stain on his career that cannot be washed off.

I talked to a guy who knew. There were a couple of coot alums who were members and took him as their guest to play a few times, but he was never offered a membership.

BCS championships.
Although he did provide A LOT of comic value ignoring the rampant delinquent conduct by his players, appearing drunk on his post-game television program, some nifty 5th place rings, and the SpurLid.

We had never lost to the coots 5 years in a row….until Dabo came along. And he’s lost the last 2 out of 3 years…to Beamer. That’s pitiful 🤦♂️

Pitiful? You mean like the two national titles Dabo has? Which is one more than Stevie Coors won even at Florida. Was it pitiful when Dabo appeared in FOUR national title games? How many have your chickens been in? How manybplayoff games? How many Many BCS games? PITIFUL!

Wanna hear REALLY Pitiful? Clemson has a better lifetime winning percentage in Williams Brice Stadium than the Lamecocks to lifetime. That's right, Clemson has a higher winning % in your own Stadium against your boys than they do over EVERYONE else.. Those losses like the Citidel really add up.

I think these are SOS's best seasons.
1996 12-1 1 Won SEC (9-0); won Sugar Bowl 52-20 for national title 1995 12-1 2 Won SEC (9-0); lost Fiesta Bowl 62-24 for national title 1994 10-2-1 7 Won SEC (8-1); lost Sugar Bowl 23-17 1993 11-2 5 Won SEC (8-1); won Sugar Bowl 41-7
Teams played only 13 games during that era. I think the comparison of SOS and Dabo should be winning percentages.
FYI: I'm not a Steve Spurier fan. I actually hate the guy's attitude and lack of sportsmanship but imo, he was the best coach of his era. He did more for the coots than either Saban or anyone else might have done there.
My consolation is that they didn't land Dabo and yes, overall Dabo is a better coach and a much better sportsman.

As a UGA fan I have no love for Spurrier but the OP omitting Dabo's least successful seasons to make the point is stacking the deck to say the least.

SC's 4 best years in their history are only slightly better than Dabo's 4 worst years.
Muschamp, Dykes, Deitzel, Morrison, Woods, Holtz, et. al. Pick any 4 consecutive years under any combination of these coaches, or any of the other 20+ coaches in SC history, and they don't equal Dabo's 4 worst years.
SC football history is abysmal, at best.

We can’t say those were his worst years. Although Dabo was building we can say 2011-2014 and 2021-2024 are very similar. Two conference championships in the later compared to one but the winning percentage was probably better in Morris years. Also not 0-4 in the against our rival in the later years.
Also we as fans feel like the past four are his worst because we fell from an elite team to a bottom top 25 team and we’ve lost two to our in state rival.

Does it hurt you to say Coot? Tell me, why the charade? You can be a Chicken fan here. I havebreapect for Classof 09 and other GC posters that are honest. Your ruse is about as transparent as a glass of Evian.
