and (I assume) our federal government and their fuel economy standards.
Those two brilliant entities collaborated and determined that swapping out my spare tire for a portable air compressor in my 'stang would help save weight, and (I assume) slightly increase fuel economy.
Bold move, Cotton.... works great until you you try to plug the tire, get it good and reamed out (lulz) and the plug doesn't "take". Then you are stuck in the Lowes parking lot at 5:30AM with 0psi in your left rear tire waiting for Lowes to open so you can buy a new, better plug kit to get you on down the road.... hypothetically.
Looks like I'm getting new tires (the back ones are wore slap out). Won't have to take out a HELOC or anything like that, and I'm sure nobody cares. Yall have a blest day.
The worst part is I probably payed extra for some sort of "spare tire delete" package or some such nonsense.

100K miles
poossied out and didn't do it myself
payed the dealership $5K... FoMoCo reinbursed me $2000 after I complained. Repair parts warrientied forever. NOt terrible, but also crappy. also had them change the waterpump since it's inside the freaking engine... idiots.
but yea, wife loves the exploder. it's not bad at all.
