the lake in a row, the last few complete with mechanical boat issues. Then, I decided that a bad day on the GOLF COURSE was better than a good day at work. And, unlike the fish that I could never seem to find, or entice into my boat, I could always find the golf course, every single time!

Saying you find the golf course every time is like saying you find the lake every time.
As for me 2k, I consider a good day of golf is when I find more golf balls than I lose - for all the time I spend in the woods and brush looking for all my shanked shots. 😉

of fact, I have a 5 gallon bucket in my shop that I occasionally have to empty all the "found' balls from my bag into.
Now, a corollary to that is, I hit the ball so short these days, it is really hard to lose one, unless there happens to be a body of water in the way. (Actually I don't hit it at ALL these days, haven't been physically up to playing since about last July/August. I still dream about playing my normal game, just once, though.)
Uncle Bill, I can't believe you actually said the "s" word. You better immediately go say a hundred Hail Arnold Palmer's, or your next outing will be REALLY ugly.

What lake do you fish? My home lake is hartwell. I believe they are showing signs of pre spawn. Haven’t had any luck the past couple days. I’m on a kayak and the bank so I’m kind of limited.

Local game warden asked to go out with me one day after supposedly hearing about my never coming in without the limit. Well, I got to my spot pulled out a stick (dynamite), lit it, threw it in, the proceeded to net my catch. Let me tell y’all now, he looked at me like I had grown an extra head and proceeded to berate me about the “illegality” of my actions. I calmly reached down and retrieved another stick, lit it, tossed it to him and asked “you gonna sit here talkin or are you gonna start fishin?” True story.
