Food storage poverty poll

Is this method of keeping food fresh normal to anybody else?
Box of Cheez It’s, the bag is wrapped up inside of the box and a can of whatever is convenient is laid on top to make sure the bag is “sealed”

...but in my house we take a sharpie and write the name of the canned food inside the box on the outside of the box. that way when it is mexican enchilada night we dont have to open all the boxes and try to find the dern sauce.
but really...

i went to grab something out of the pantry and saw the can sticking out and laughed.
mrs fluff asked why and i told her that the storage practices she and her mom use are not normal.
she said, well why don't you ask your tigernet friends. to which 3 yr old baby says, daddy has boy friends.
so i took the pic and posted and got the response i was expecting, nobody actually does this.

I use the chip clips from the dollar store.
Oct 26, 2018, 3:17 PM

Cut the middle, top or a corner of the bag and squeeze the air out of it after the folding is done. Press the fold tight and make one more fold then put the clip on it. If the bag is good than the seal will be good. Some bags just leak and those are the snacks I eat quickly before they go stale.
If I run out of clips I'll be sure to try your method.
