Boring Games

I know I'm just an old codger complaining. As you folks know after almost 50 years of faithfully attending games I dropped my tickets 2 years back because I got tired of traffic, bad music, heat, etc and found it much more enjoyable to watch from my easy chair. Now I'm finding that even that is not as enjoyable since we beat the sh.. out of everyone in this pathetic conference ! I don't know how much longer people will continue to pay good money and pack 80,000 into Death Valley to watch non-competitive games. It's just boring to keep beating teams 30 plus points. I hope we play UNC again in the championship since at least they don't seem to fear us though I think that game was a blip on the screen for us. I went to bed before HT last night. It's just not interesting. If one of the Democrats is elected however I expect games will get better since surely they will force Clemson to share the talent with the other ACC teams since it is not fairly distributed. I once thought ( after the Ga. game) that the Coots would give us a game in Columbia but I see they have returned to their normal SORRY self !

You say that the games have gotten boring because the ACC is not competitive. It’s true the conference is down this year, but would you rather watch us light up the scoreboard in the same way vs the SEC or other “power” teams across the country? Because that’s exactly what would happen. It’s not about our competition. It’s about CLEMSON! And if you’re complaining about Clemson stomping mud holes in teams’ backsides, then you’re complaining about Clemson being an elite program.
You are free and encouraged sell every bit of Clemson gear you own and never come near campus again because you, sir, are not a fan.

but beating the day lights out of everyone NEVER gets boring. I ended my IPTAY membership/season tickets right after the 2016 season because of expense. It has been a shared family membership since 1979 but after my dad passed many years ago and my mom with slow developing dementia she can’t attend the games anymore then I took completely over the membership awhile back. It was a very difficult decision but I thought I let these younger well to do folks take over and enjoy this special time with their family and friends.
I still attend a few games a year but I do enjoy watching the blowouts on TV like last night. Maybe you are just a cranky old man. GO TIGERS!!!!!

Do you think Nebraska fans are glad they are no longer in the 90s and crushing teams each game? I bet you one of them said back then “wow this beating Iowa State by 60 stuff is kinda boring”.
How about Miami fans and the 80s? FSU fans and a few years ago. Texas fans and the 2000s.

I think what really happened is you were very interested when BC scored to make it a 10 point game. Then we ran it up to 38-7 and you said well no chance Clemson loses this one. My coots already got destroyed so I'm not watching the rest of this massacre.

I think his comment was more about the competition needing to step it up than Clemson curb stomping everyone every week. With that said, it’s kind of nice being able to enjoy a game without the stress of the unknown. I think I’m adding years to my life. While the 2016 championship game was the most exciting game I’ve ever seen, I think I would die of a heart attack if I had to experience that every week. Last year’s championship game wasn’t boring at all. In fact, it was quite enjoyable. I know my family prefers me when Clemson wins comfortably.
