I trust Dabo with his program, now some thoughts?

1. We know Dabo has some people in football and life he trusts for honest feedback, all great leaders do. Just wondering who convinced him this had to be done? Dabo is extremely loyal, I think it's one of his great qualities. I don't think any firing before was this difficult for him. Street's been on staff since 2015, he's family. I don't think we'll ever know the answer to this.
2. The replacement is already hired, we know that. Dabo doesn't act rashly. This has been going on behind the scenes quite a while. Excited to hear who it is.
3. I think it's an outside guy. Unless Dabo believed the offensive philosophy needed a real overhaul, I don't think he makes this move.
4. Apparently, Dabo is not beyond evolving, as so many screech on here daily.
5. Is there any doubt now Dabo is not growing complacent?

Dabo already has someone specific in mind to replace Streeter. Probably more than one.

Does it hurt worse to be fired by your mentor and friend or to fire your mentee?
This is why I thought people were ridiculous expecting him to fire someone the day after the orange bowl. This is much more measured and rational.

Street is family. I know Dabo will do everything in his power for Street. Maybe it's a job at Clemson somewhere, or a QB job elsewhere, but Dabo loves his people, and Street is one of his

Pardon my ignorance as I don't know exactly how management works with college football since there is a university tied to the team and all but isn't there higher ups that could basically force Dabo to make a move? Or does it not work like that?

I hated firing my direct employees, especially ones I hired. But I had to do it on occasion. Every time they knew it was coming based on timely consistent feedback and improvement metrics given to them. No firing based on performance should be a surprise if done by a good manager, and I know Dabo is a good manager. And I agree, I believe he has already made a decision on who he will hire next .

a very tough move for Dabo. Street is one of his, on staff 8 years. If you're complacent, why change? If it's an insider, why make the move if you believe in the offensive philosophy?

we know a few guys Dabo is close to in the ACC liken Clawson and Babers, but I doubt they're helping him, lol. Wouldn't be someone active. Stallings is a mentor, but more defensively minded. Maybe that conversation about Trevor with the Jax staff was two ways?
