College baseball has a serious pace of play issue

Much more so than the MLB. Yesterday UNC/OrSt lasted 4 hours and 20 ministers in a 9 inning game.
Today the Arkansas/Texas game started a full hour before the Brazil/Switzerland World Cup game. The soccer game just ended and I flip over to the baseball game and it's only in the top of the 6th. And it's not like they are scoring runs to slow it down, it's only 3-2.

Even though I'm an old school baseball fan, I totally agree with you.

Pretty sure he didn't.
They have to eliminate the minute and a half between pitches. Stop letting hitters adjust everything on their body and make them stay in the box.
Baseball's a great game when played at a proper.pace of play

In the regular season and ACC tourney, catchers got calls

... straight from the coaches through an ear piece. This isn’t allowed in the NCAA games.
There is a lot of delay with coaches hand signaling in the post season.
If you noticed, UVA decided to do without the ear piece in the regulor season and their catcher turned and stared at the dugout for several seconds between every single pitch.

like Virginia. It's kinda gamesmanship and the umpires don't really do anything to stop it

My son was a little league team MVP at 11 & 12

Stopped playing at 13-14 yrs when he broke his arm just above the wrist. Switched to soccer to my dismay at the time ... said baseball was way too boring anyway. Standing in centerfield waiting for three to five balls per game over 3 hours while coaches and parents critiqued every movement in the batters box, on the base paths, and in the field. Not much fun for most kids. Baseball may be going the way of the dinosaur. Another thing is when I played just slightly above average back in the day, little league, pony league, and colt league typically had tryouts. Each team in the league would get a few studs, some regular dudes, and a few spazzes. Now in this era of super coaches and super teams, one team or two teams will be loaded, a few are .500, and many reek. Add in the travel ball and no thanks. Been nice knowing you baseball. R.I.P.
