Now that rat der is funny!

In the PC today - we all need what this guy is joking - Harcourt Fenton Mudd 09/24/12 at 06:35 AM Slater, don't be a Ron Morris. The Gamecocks have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are a top ten and perhaps on the inside track to the National Championship. What happened in the past helps fill space in a weak article. This Carolina team is the best ever. A defense that is pro grade. Receivers who can run with the ball. A running game that can keep the ball moving with depth. Quarterback who has the capability to make superhuman plays (80 yard TD and running away from defenders, 20 of 21 completions) with backups who can both pass the ball and run. Look at the other top tens: weak wins over weak teams is all they have achieved. Vanderbilt was at their most dangerous with the whole team returning in the first game. Missouri will win 8 this year. The other teams are solid and will have successful years against their opponents. Florida State has not played anyone and Clemson cheats to get five star players but the coaches can't coach. LSU may not be as good as advertised. Oregon can't play smashmouth. So. Cal is a bunch of frat boys. We know how to be Alabama. Georgia won't beat us at home. Florida still lacks players as Meyer was a lousy recruiter. Arkansas is completely fallen apart. No, it is not a question of 'is South Carolina' a legitmate number six but 'is South Carolina able to win the national championship'? Spurier knows the answer is 'yes!' and he doesn't want anyone asking the question, so he's not talking. Better to stay under the radar for now.

good imo. I wish we had 10% of their defense and we'd run the table. They will give us fits again this yr imo.

If you can do that, lots of things open up defensively for you.

wins came against weak opponents. But, all the coot's wins came and will come against great teams? Even if those great teams suck...until they play the coots. Except us, we cheat in recruiting. Did I do that right?

yeah, me too. Sign only 4 and 5 stars with a few underrated 3 stars for depth. Then let them back up All-Americans for a year or two before they start for a season and jump to the NFL.

I thought SCU looked good on Saturday.

I also think Missouri played horribly. While they were OK against the run, they were completely lost against the pass. On offense I had absolutely no idea what they were trying to do other than lose.

I thought they would win, but the team that played Georgia close for three quarters never showed up. I am still not convinced SCU has the offense or the secondary to be a great team, though.
On another note, Lattimore has still not had a 100 yard game. Why is anybody saying anything about him winning the Heisman?

Shaw only hit a couple of nice passes. The rest were dump offs. Spurrier realized after a while that Missouri was not going to be competitive and just toyed with them after that with easy throw-and-catches.
