Clemson vs Fla St - look at the numbers

Offense: (rank)
Clemson PPG 42.0 (12) Clemson YPG 522.4 (9) Clemson Ru YPG 253.7 (10) Clemson Pa YPG 268.7 (32)
Fla St PPG 25.1 (96) Fla St YPG 364.1 (99) Fla St Ru YPG 98.4 (125) Fla St Pa YPG 265.7 (34)
Defense: (rank)
Clemson PPG 13.4 (3) Clemson YPG 266.3 (4) Clemson Ru YPG 107.7 (14) Clemson Pa YPG 158.6 (5)
Fla St PPG 24.0 (51) Fla St YPG 371.7 (55) Fla St Ru YPG 100.4 (8) Fla St Pa YPG 271.3 (113)
I think it's similar to the NC State game. We may struggle to run consistently on them, but Trevor should have his way with them through the air. I don't see Fla State scoring more than 10-13 points even at home against us.
Prediction: Clemson 48 Florida State 10

FSU stumbled early, is still not very good but they will give us a game. Way too many athletes and players to stay down all season.
FSU will jump out early, we'll bounce back and win 30'ish to 20'ish.

I think 7-0 is the only possible lead FSU might have

I expect this to be a fight, as always. We've beaten FSU by multiple scores before, but the games are always close and entertaining. I expect this one to be close as well. They will give us everything they've got.

All we got to do is let TL pick them apart with the out routes and over the middle. Take an occasional HR throw and let ETN get to the edges. They can’t stop it

FSU will learn something from the NCSU game film and may have some success slowing down the rbs but it’s pretty hard to defend that out pass that TL has perfected. If he’s on his game there aren’t many teams who can slow him down IF the linemen get the job done. Man coverage doesn’t work. At least it didn’t saturday and I’m not totally convinced that FSU is a lot better than the Wolfpack.
I really enjoy seeing the players rotate in and out of the games as we are doing this year. That is going to pay big dividends down the road. That Turner kid Saturday was amazing and I didn’t know who he was. But Dabo did!

I think you're giving FSU's new coaching staff

too much credit.
Not sure what's going on down there b/c they should have a ton of talent on the team.
I'm also a big fan of player rotation/development. We played 52 different players by the end of the first quarter. IMO that will have a huge impact on our success late in the season/post season and next year.

How many teams play 52 players in a full game, including ' garbage ' time ?

Thanks! I had just seen Taggart’s post that practicing against their DLine prepared them for our DLine, and was curious what the stats show. Still not sure that’s valid - only two common opponents (who, btw, scored 21 more points on them than they did on us).
Still, I feel pretty ‘comfortable’ about our chances to come out of Tallahassee with the W. Would be sweet to cover the spread, too!
GO TIGERS!!!!
