laden from these inside "sources" and reveals that we just don't have the coaching staff charisma and confidence to take advantage of the opportunity the portal and the extra pandemic year provides.

How do you know that their sources were coaches?
In fact, one of their sources was someone in the ACC. We don't know if that was a coach at another school, someone who works in the commissioner's office, a player, a cheerleader, etc.
To read that article and conclude that our coaches lack charisma or confidence to get good players through the transfer portal shows how negative your preconceived notions obviously are.
How about we let this transfer portal thing play out first before criticizing our coaches?
Even if their sources were our coaching staff, I empathize with how frustrating all of this must be. Any coach who doesn't see this situation as ridiculous isn't being honest. Of course there can be some great opportunities here, but our coaches realize that since they have utilized the transfer process with success over the last 5 years.
So how about showing our coaches some grace? This has been an incredibly stressful year with COVID and now the transfer portal mess. They are doing their best and I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt here.

I read that but have a hard time believing we aren't recruiting a wing who could play to 2 or the 3. We need an athlete 6-3 to 6-6 who can score and defend.

Well a 6'3" player isn't playing wing for us.

He would be a great pickup if we needed a combo guard, but we don't.
We need someone at least 6'5" if not 6'7" or 6'8" to play wing. Brad isn't going to expose us defensively by playing a 6'3" player on the wing, especially since we already give up some height with Dawes (6'2") and Honor (5'10").

“ Brad isn't going to expose us defensively by playing a 6'3" player on the wing,”
Didn’t Brad start 6’3 Hemenway at the wing?

I am sure nctigs does not believe the tweet as it does not match his imagination or anti CBB mindset

We were in his final four announced about a month ago.

My understanding is that we have moved on from him recently.
He's a good player, but I agree with others that he doesn't really fill a critical need since we already have talented combo guards.
The Clemson plane in south Florida the other day was reportedly unrelated to his recruitment, as he was in North Carolina at the time.

I believe some dynamic players who no one else knows about will magically appear for us soon.
