Remember Vance Boelter? Registered Republican and Evangelical Minister

Suspected murderer Boelter was a Republican who, as an evangelical Christian minister, gave sermons railing against abortion and LGBTQ people.

According to court documents, after extensive research and planning, Boelter embarked on a murderous rampage targeting Minnesota’s elected officials and their families. On June 14, 2025, the defendant disguised himself as a member of law enforcement and traveled to the homes of Democratic elected officials with the intent to intimidate and murder. Early that morning, the defendant traveled to the Hoffmans home in Champlin, Minnesota. By posing as a police officer, Boelter compelled the Hoffmans to answer their door. He then repeatedly shot Senator Hoffman and Yvette Hoffman and he attempted to shoot their daughter, Hope Hoffman.

Boelter then traveled to the homes of two other Minnesota elected officials, only to find that no one at those locations was home. He next drove to the home of Speaker Emerita and Representative Melissa Hortman. There, Boelter repeatedly shot, and killed, Representative Hortman and her husband, Mark. Following a two-day manhunt, law enforcement arrested the defendant near his family residence in Green Isle, Minnesota.

Political violence has no place in our society and Tyler Robinson, just like Vance Boelter, will be held accountable for his crimes.

One thing is for sure, regardless of political views or ideologies, if we don't find an off ramp and something to unite and cement us as a nation, things are only going to get worse.

Again - this was a public assassination in front of thousands of people, with the video of the very bloody event posted all over the internet. The victim is one of the most prominent and polarizing political people in the country. He has millions and millions of followers and connected with younger generations more than any other politician I can remember.

Anyone struggling to understand why it's getting the attention it is is just lying to themselves.

Dude can you give it a rest? You act like republicans don’t give a $**t about school shootings and the MN situations. It’s all horrible

Quit trying to prove “you’re right” that this is a big deal, yet other tragedies aren’t because “republicans love orange man”

A father was brutally murdered in front of his wife and two children. Do you have children? Could you image if that happened to you in front of them? You no longer being there for them?

The same with the innocent children in schools scared for their lives during a school shooting. It’s all horrible and gotten out of control, but lefties like you just want to start an argument about how republicans are hypocrites.

Give it a rest man. We need to be coming together and being better neighbors, not pointing fingers on an online message board.

His roommates and acquaintances say he was a Trump supporter. He was a registered Republican. He is a preacher with videos of him railing against trans and gay/lesbian people in DRC in 2021 and 2023. The difference was no conservative celebrated the deaths of Minnesota deaths. There were no posts of hate or they deserved it, nothing like we are seeing towards Charlie Kirk. Thank you for sharing the story about the Charlie Kirk murder. Over the years there have been many people that I have strongly disagreed with. People who have had political views or religious beliefs I strongly disagreed with. But I would never be happy that someone killed this person.

If you feel Charlie Kirk got what he deserved, IMO you are one sick individual. Regardless of weather you agreed with his views, what happened Wednesday is an American tragedy. Wednesday is truly a sad day for this country and the world.

I have heard people say “ well Charlie Kirk was very divisive in his views and it his fault his was murdered. Many may not have supported Charlie Kirk’s views or his opinions about certain minority groups. Groups who spew their own Hate speech every day because they have freedom of speech to.

Many of these groups can get violent if you criticize or disagree with their views or lifestyle. But they don’t deserve to be murdered either.

A well known IMO highly respected
member of Tigernet posted about this subject I feel was 100% correct when he said the world, our country and so many people are polarized. It seems like a line in the sand has been drawn. Tragically there are people on each side of that line who thrive on creating division with their Hate Speech. Honestly, I believe most people just want to enjoy life.

It is really tragic and sad that Hate and divisive rhetoric has taken over our society. Whatever happened to Gods words “ Love thy neighbor as you love thy self. “ Do you even know your neighbor ??? Many people Iive next to someone they never get to know.

We are a country with many freedoms. One of those freedoms is free speech. It is one of the very freedoms that many Men and Women have given their lives defending so we can enjoy these freedoms. We have several Veterans or Current Military Service members on T-net who are defending our freedoms even today.

To those people I say Thank You for the sacrifices you have made or are currently making for people like me. I am sure many others who post on Tigernet appreciate you very much and are grateful for the freedoms you defend. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

If their are people out there you know who regret the bullet missed President Trump and feel Charlie Kirk got what he received then you may God have mercy on your Soul because I believe you need Mental Health Treatment immediately.

Clemson professor Villaver is a Major Embarrassment to any who truly loves Clemson. I feel he should be Fired immediately. We have Freedom of speech but in this case I feel it was an abusive use of that freedom.

I guarantee all who read this post knows if Dabo, any other Clemson coach or athlete would have already been dismissed or terminated.

I have loved Clemson since I was a kid. All though I did not attend Clemson but my daughter is a 2015 graduate. Unfortunately, over the 5 years she spent at Clemson changed her views on life. It is not just Clemson it’s most of the colleges and universities who have a 13:1 ratio of liberal professors compared to a limited number of conservative professors. This ratio is changing not only our kids into liberal, disrespectful young adults who think they know everything. But they are changing our society into a polarized world.

I remember the day as a little kid watching the TV. A little boy standing with his mom and sister Saluting his Dad’s casket as it passed by. John Kennedy Jr was that little boy. That to was a tragic day for this country to. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Again, there are 2 young kids wondering why they Daddy is not coming home any longer 🥲🥲 and a young wife who lost her husband.

I am asking that those will to Offer prayers for the Kirk Family , those on Tigernet who are struggling with an illness, loss of someone very special or for those who may be struggling financially. And please prayers for the young Ukrainian girl’s family who was murdered in Charlotte, NC because our justice system failed her.

May God Bless the Kirk Family, this country, Clemson University and our world. May God show his amazing love, mercy and compassion to this polarized world in need of healing 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Lol at the "liberal professor" ratio narrative. I am myself a Clemson graduate, and I cannot recall 1 single time a professor ever getting political. Not once. Maybe if I would have taken a political science class that number would be 1 instead of 0.

Keep reaching Baw.

As an econ major, that ratio was reversed for us.***
