I see alot of reporters saying things like... gamecocks have found their dabo.
Alot of people saying....he's like dabo.
Is he?

There is no other Dabo. Dabo is already going in the CFB Hall of Fame. Beamer has won 6 games.

I don’t think he’s trying to copy Dabo but I do see similarities. Young, enthusiastic, loves his players. He seems to have the locker room with him. We’ll see how he does! Having said that, hope we stomp them Saturday night! Go Tigers!

A lot of coaches try to Copy Dabo’s style. Why wouldn’t they? People try to copy Tom Brady’s style too but that just doesn’t happen because you want it to.

Hmmm…
But to answer your question. NO.
You can tell he admires Dabo. He tries to say things in press conferences to pretend like he’s Dabo.
But outside of that, he is NOTHING like the real deal.

anybody. I couldn't blame him one bit if he did, however. A lot of coaches, since Dabo's and Clemson's ascent to the top, have started talking about things like "culture", "changing the culture", "character", clearly picking up what Dabo started putting down. Dabo is clearly the one who pioneered this coaching style and philosophy, and it's flattering when others try to emulate him, and it works as long as they are sincere. Having said that, Beamer may be the most likeable coot coach since Sparky, but he's still a coot.
EDIT: I forgot Brad Scott came after Sparky.

Yes. He’s definitely trying to mimic Dabo.
We shall see if it works. It’s definitely working on our fans. Not sure it’s working on the recruits.

Any relatively young coach who has any success in Columbia will be out the door in short order for a better offer. The truth is, no one wants to live down here, we just stay because of work. There will never be another Spurrier situation. That was a one time perfect storm of circumstance.
