I think back to the Clemson Coot fight

and then I see how Oh St and Mich have handled theirs thie week.
One of the reasons Clemson has trouble getting over the hump is because of weak kneed administrators. fortunately most of that slate is about gone now (TDP is and Barker soon will be).
Oh and for those who agree w the no bowl and handshake approach we attempted to appease ESPN please note this is the same ESPN who has uttered nary a peep about the fight in Ann Arbor.
NEither school have caaved in to their nonsense.

lasted longer. I think about the same number were involved. URB isnt even suspending or sitting the OL this week at all apparently. pretty pathetic on his part.
MY point is we let ESPN decide what we should do. That has to stop. a school has to have a backbone.

"a school has to have a backbone."
actually, i think backbone is demonstrated by suspending players and not going to bowl games. what urban meyer and jim delaney are doing is truly a "win at all costs" approach. of course, there's a back story here if you consider delaney's constant whining about the SEC and urban's pathetic reputation as a leader. he's got a chance at a NC, and he has neither the balls nor the backbone to do anything to hurt those chances. that is pathetic. suspending players and/or staying home because your team acted like a ####### is the only approach that even remotely resembles integrity.

I was there and have three distinct memories from that day in Death Valley:
1) S. Newton going down to taunt the Clemson players as they came down the hill. A few other players went with him. That seemed to get the ball rolling on the nastiness. The brawl started after a Clemson player hit SN after a pass and then didn't get off of him.
A similar situation happened prior to the game this past weekend before the game. The Clemson players walked hand in hand down to the student section, and then started jabbering with the students in the stands. That really got the student section riled up.
2) how much more physical Clemson was than South Carolina. Clemson's defense was physically dominant in that game in much the way I think our defense has been in recent years
3) as I walked out, the Clemson student section loudly chanting "we want Spurrier!" Over and over. Will never forget that.

Well, a bunch of sacks, physically ripping the ball away from Tahj, etc. but OK. We were weak and feeble but you guys just didn't feel like scoring I guess.
