a tournament in any sport at any level and independent of however many teams are invited into the first round be it 2 or 4 or 8 or 16 or 32 or 64 or 128 or 256 or 512 or 1,024 or 2,048 or 4,096 or 8,192 or 16,384 or 32,768 or 65,536 or some other less symmetrical number making it exceedingly more difficult to establish and execute a straightforward elimination rationale (allow me to apologize for momentarily showing-off here with my binary math skills learned at my beloved Clemson from 1970-1975 and practiced extensively during my initial career in assembler level software engineering through 1979 until I was promoted from design engineering into a more overarching position requiring me in part to trick others into working harder at being design engineers than should probably be considered fair but now I digress), unless you win the entire tournament and are crowned the champion you actually go home having lost your last game independent of however many games you may or may not have won along the way per se. So the intuitive and prevalent logic would be that you are certainly not a loser from any reasonable or conceivable perspective or in any way, shape, or form if you were invited to the dxmxed tournament in the first place, got it?
