How can that be? The ESPN analysts said that FSU would win the ACC? That they couldn't lose because of how many transfers they had? That Dabo doesn't use the portal and it's impossible to win!

that one article actually turned out to be spot on with some of the overrated/underrated calls, but I'm guessing that's mostly blind squirrel finding a nut territory. and who knows? it still might be right about texas being overrated. they certainly didn't look like anything getting eaten up by Georgia.

I thought unless you built a roster through the Transfer Portal you had no talent???
Isn't that what "everyone" was saying?
So, you mean that if you recruit 4* and 5* offensive players and have good coaching your offense won't suck? Huh.
So, coaching matters? Who knew. 😏
(Sick and tired of seeing TNET tards complain about talent when we out-talent every team we've lost to - minus UGA over the last 3 seasons. It's analogous to complaining about being a poor millionaire.)

Our issue is not talent. It is depth and if you lose a couple of guys at the same position you can wind up having to play some guys who aren’t ready since the replacement may be a freshman or Sophomore with little to no snaps.
Case in point, it would have been nice to have 1 or 2 Edge guys who could step in when we needed support from key injuries.
Guys like you want to act like people are saying use the portal to build a roster like CO. I have not seen anyone post that. But we do think selectively using it to add needed depth when the need arises makes sense.
And apparently Dabo agrees which is why he has allowed Luke to extend offers to bolster our OL.

The Florida State preseason predictions were based solely upon "wishful thinking" by the espn pundits. They wanted so badly to see Dabo and Clemson fall that they tried to mentally force Miami and Florida to re-take the ACC. Glad to see the toothpicks they are using to pick their teeth out from all the CROW they are eating.

I'm sitting here listening to Charlie Daniels' "Long Haired Country Boy." And I think probably what they don't like about Dabo is he's just an ol' country boy who knows who he is, believes what he believes, and isn't inclined to start doubting either of those things, anytime soon.
