here who blasted that pick. "He couldn't stop the offenses in the Big 12"...they said. Venables couldn't...blah,blah,blah.
Well, the only offenses he couldn't stop in 19 years at Clemson were maybe the two best offenses ever. I am betting on Dabo on this hire.....

I think most everyone feels that way. Still fun to discuss the possibilities... And doesn't mean you're a coot if you do. He also hired the fella CBV replaced. He's not perfect.

this morning: Dabo Swinney nor anyone else, for that matter, has called me, asking my opinion nor for help...not even to offer the DC job!
Thus, I suppose I have no choice but to go on about my business, hope for the best and keep from getting in an agitated state of mind over this entire matter.
Best wishes....(and by the way, friends have been pulling some bodacious-sized catfish out of Lake Murray, where I live.)

I trust Dabo will get this right. He probably already knows who it will be. Love Brent, but Dabo built this program and he is still the man.

Yep, Ohio State and LSU hung 91 points and almost 1300 yards on Venables.
Failed...

They hung those points in the only way possible vs BV... hurry up offense and a huge number of plays to tire out the defense. That was the glaring hole in BV's defense scheme, last second line adjustments.
Only heavy depth teams can pull off sustained hurry up play with talent to launch long balls with receivers able to catch them. In those two games though the bigger issue was the Tiger offense's inability to move the ball due to bad offensive scheming under Elliott.
