Yes, his response was good.
However, he's still the D-bag that left his starting QB in the game and threw a 90 yard pass with the game well in hand. Classy my a$$. That's the kind of stuff that gets remembered for a while.
I just hope we remember it and take it to them next season.

And I wish we had taken a shot at Winston for it, even if we got flagged.
Number two: It shows a 100 percent lack of sportsmanship. That's the stuff that Spurrier did at UF.
I wouldn't have a problem if they wanted to bring their back-up in and let him sling it a little for game experience. But keeping your starter in to throw bombs is as classless as you can get.

Don't worry he was only hurting himself. If his QB goes down they are done for the season. If Clemson lets the loss affect them for the rest of the season FSU loses credibility and any chance at a NC shot. Best thing for FSU would be to give us some warm up snaps in the 4th quarter and close the gap in the score. Their win is just as impressive but a fellow ACC team doesn't lose as much ground.

but in retrospect I don't blame him. We'd stacked the box and were trying to get a safety, in other words we were still playing the game. Jumbo did what he did to get out of the hole. It was a 20 yd. pass to the TE...we just didn't have anyone back in coverage.

when we rang up 80+ on Wake in 81, the last long touchdown was by a 4th string linebacker that Danny put in at tailback. When asked about the score, Wake's coach said "it is our job to stop them."
Wake also scored the most points on that team of anyone that year (25).
It's not the final score, it is who is doing it. FSU kept its starters in to run up the score. We would have had the kid from Grayson in by then. That's the difference in class.

I've noticed in some games he leaves Winston longer than we'd leave Boyd in. He'll look like an absolute bonehead if Winston gets hurt seriously while playing in a game up 40 in the 4th qtr.

Teams are not going to roll over and quit because they are playing the mighty Tigers! Some fans need to understand that and I hope that the team already is aware of that fact. That was a great call by Jimbo and a lousy effort by Clemson's staff.

down here for a long time. I don't know if that has changed because I don't follow FSU football that closely, but he was extremely restrictive of the press and their access both to him and his players. It caused a lot of friction between the two and I'm not certain if those fences have been mended. Known down here as the ultimate control freak!

Come on guys anyone who knows football saw that was a toss to the TE who probably turned it into his longest catch ever
Keep in mind he did kick a field goal from the 2 yard line instead of punching it in for a TD
It was just a bad game nothing more nothing less
Look silly trying to find a reason to blame Jimbo for the lack of defense from Clemson

keep them out of the endzone. I just thought it was stupid from an injury-potential perspective.
You're about to catapult up the rankings and your star player, who's a big reason why, is still in a game that was over 30 minutes ago?

There's an argument to be made that he's not too smart in taking the risk of leaving his star out there in mop-up duty, but thats between him and his team/fans. If the team that is losing big leaves their starters in and keeps trying to score, then the other team shouldn't feel bad about doing the same. Now, it may not be smart to do so, but that's not a matter of class.

When we played WF and were up 49-7 with only a couple minutes to go, our offense tried desperately to get D-Rod in the end zone and then went for it with only a couple minutes left. I know it was 2nd and 3rd string but we dont need complain about anybody running up a score on us.
