Will Clemson be in the SEC five years from now?

I think prolly so.. along with FSU or Miami. I don't particularly want that to happen, but it might need to happen to stay competitive. Where the recruits go, CU has to go and the SEC is where they're going.

When has Clemson copied any action done by the coots? Never.
Has any "expansion" team succeeded in the SEC? Nope.
Has any team LEFT the ACC succeeded? Nope.
Has a team left the SEC and won a Nattie- Yes.
To join the SEC or B10, you are only surrendering for money. That is prostitution.

That is called getting a #### good raise! Schools like Clemson need money. Have you seen the way we been spending money over the past 10 years? Why would you, as a Clemson man, not want Clemson to earn more?!
We should already be in the SEC taking the money and getting more recognition of our accomplishments.

I would not hold your breath. I may not know all of the procedures needed for it to happen, but even if Clemson petitioned the SEC for membership the SEC has to vote on it, and I could see a few teams voting no. Also the SEC does not particularly like either FSU and Miami so Florida would vote no to both teams.
Again I do not know what % of schools have to vote for admission
Now as far as recruits ,IMO, Clemson will still get their share of highly sought after recruits. Sure Alabama and Georgia will get their take but really those two schools are our biggest competition for those 4 and 5 star recruits. And to add fuel to the fire, Alabama and Georgia will have their fair shares of recruiting battles with Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, LSU and later on OU and Texas.
And why did the SEC go to the west to add teams? It's called Television .Oklahoma, and Texas for sure have a larger base for television than does South Carolina. The SEC does not need 2 teams from South Carolina for any television type packages. And if they did go into Florida ,it would be for FSU. But FSU needs to get back to the FSU of Bobby Bowden .And that ,IMO, is a long way away.
Finally, all Clemson has to do is regroup and regain the top spot in the ACC and they will get in the playoffs. Even the committee knows an 11-1( see* below) or 12-0 ACC Championship Clemson is a good television match-up and has a fan base that will travel.
* Had Clemson taken care of business against N.C. State and Pittsburg the close loss to Georgia would not have
necessarily kept them out of the mix for those top 4 spots. But the loss to State knocked us down too far ,and the loss to Pittsburg was the nail in the coffin for even being a top 10 team.

Talk is being tossed around of a 32 team league playing for a national championship each year, if it is developed Clemson would have to join or be left out.

Uncertain ACC will exist in current form - would bet against it. But more likely Clemson will be caught up in larger transition affecting both ACC, SEC and others than transfer to SEC.
