I am concerned about Rutgers’s size in the backcourt.

They are considerably bigger than we are at the 1, 2, and 3. We can’t let their bigger guards just post up ours. For this reason, we better hope Nick Honor is hot from 3 because we can’t afford to have him give up more points than he scores.

It’s going to take some effective scheming on defense, including some creative traps and possibly even more full court and 3/4 court pressure to try to disrupt Rutgers.

They have Jacob Young listed at 6 foot 6. Everything else I have read has Jacob Young at 6 foot 2. And although that’s bigger than Nick Honor Al Amir Dawes would be around the same height and weight. In most of the games we played this year the small guards weren’t a huge issue, but when you play Isaiah Wong it is a big issue, because when he got in his spot it didn’t matter how good of defense we played he was gonna jump over us and hit a tough shot. I’m a little bit worried as to how we’re gonna guard Geo Baker, especially if he can make tough shots like Isaiah Wong could, but I’m really worried about Ron Harper Jr. With him on the court I doubt Alex Hemenway gets in, because idk if he can guard Harper, maybe John Newman or Chase Hunter gets a lot of minutes against him but I don’t see either one as premier defenders to be honest. Hopefully someone can step up and shut him down.
