I missed the meltdown. Feel good about it…

Oct 16, 2022, 7:43 AM

Did not look at Tnet at all during the game. It was…..refreshing and enjoyable. I’m looking at post game threads this morning, it looks like much of the norm….a great road win and still undefeated team with incessant griping and complaining by the usuals. You would think if winning games and being undefeated brings so much anger and angst to those, they would stop pulling for the Tigers and follow the Coots.

I guess you can add Dabo to the list, because he wasn't happy about the end of the game either.

Yet he still danced and celebrated in the locker room instead of whining like a five year old

I’m sorry but coot fans walk around beating their chest and have little situational awareness on how truly bad they are. You have to look hard to find a Clemson fan who would settle for such mediocrity. I believe that is what sets us apart. We are undefeated (something a coot could only dream of) and yet we still want more, we feel we deserve better. Sorry this is lost on you but our team gave up last night. Our season goals are the ACC then the NCAA NC! When we see a team get comfortable with a 20 point lead away from home and get down to one play away from it wrecking the aforementioned goals, you can bet you’re going to see the reaction that you did. How does this shock you?

You missed the point Inlet - I am not shocked. In fact, my point was the opposite. The reaction was predictable. Not shocking. We won. We are undefeated. All of the goals including a national championship are ahead of us. Yet - some “fans” had a miserable night. To each their own.

We did. FSU also had to use up their valuable timeouts.

Do you believe our performance last night was National Championship level? Do you not think it merits even the slightest of criticism?

2016 Natty team nearly blew an 18 pt lead to the Coots in the same fashion.

No. The 2016 won 56-7.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That is not the point.

Oct 16, 2022, 8:25 AM [ in reply to Re: I missed the meltdown. Feel good about it… ]

The point is this: yes talk about the adjustments needed, but don’t forget to dance. We just beat FSU at home. Again. With THAT crowd back. That is incredibly difficult. Ask Alabama how they feel this morning. Y’all get in here talking about how Dabo is not going for the throat, and how it is playcalling fault etc etc. y’all need some freaking perspective.

I would argue that much of this problem is from the "pumper " crowd. When someone expresses a reasonable concern about the letdown at the end of the game, you have people who blow the comments out of proportion, and keep these discussions going on longer than they otherwise would.

a) This group is NOT going to win the CFP. We aren't good enough. Period.

b) The name of the game is to WIN THE GAME.

Your choice of words is telling Inlet. I’m not out searching for every opportunity for “even the slightest of criticism”. Not in the game or in life. Enjoy the moment. We won!!! Sure there are improvements to be made, but do yourself a favor and celebrate that win and where we stand right now! It’s a great day to be a Tiger; and it was a great night last night to be one too!

You’re making the assumption that those complaining or voicing concerns

Oct 16, 2022, 8:40 AM

are not happy about the win.

I think it’s safe to say that any genuine Clemson fan is thrilled to win the game, especially against a team like Florida State who dominated us for so many years.
