Sharkgirl and I went to the Peddler for what was easily a top 10, maybe top 5 meal of my life. Were entirely too full to do any extra sinning when we got home.

13 inches, 27 inches tall.
Pine is about 30 lb/ft3.
PI X 6.5^2 X 27 = 3584 in^3 = 2.07 ft^3 = 62 lbs.
It wasn't too heavy, I just wasn't handling it right thinking I was still 22 years old.

I messed up my shoulder once screwing around with a dead tree

it was a small pine and I thought I could "Kung Fu" it and jar it loose from the ground.
And I did, WAY easier than I thought it would go. Bad thing was, it was heading down straight for my dog, who was there just staring at the commotion.
I somehow scrambled over and took the brunt of the tree fall on my shoulder, saving my completely unaware dog's life. Bruised it so bad, my shoulder hurt for 6 months after that.
That's the last time I effed around with a dead tree.

Don't mess your back up as an adult, it is scary AF. I've pinched a nerve or something a couple times in my back, leg will go numb for a couple days, back hurts, sh>it gets weird. You ain't young anymore, don't fu>ck it up permanently.

But the bright spot was when I made some phenom fajitas with flank steak. Pan seared and finished in the oven. I actually used all my pans: Two cast iron pans for the steak, one heavy steel pan for onions and peppers, and a nonstick for the flour tortillas. I was beboppin' and scattin'.

haven't read any of the rest of the thread, but went there for the one and only (so far) time roughly 2 years ago, and wasn't terribly impressed (well, the service was good enough, and i was happily surprised by the bill too)
large party, 3 steaks (including mine) had to go back...one other person just dealt w/ it. One of the 1st (3) DIDN'T want to deal with it, and just said he didn't want a replacement (he was in a #### mood already).
I'd go back, but not for any visit that I organized. Same group did Chophouse last year (and toned it down, did Hometeam this year, this past Sunday) and it was VERY VERY GOOD, every aspect....i think the bill per person was easily 3x that of Peddler, if not more, tho, but worth the premium.

Is this including a lot of drinks with alcohol?
It would only be very certain group of folks I'd go to a steakhouse with. I need to know just how picky they are. Sending back a medium rare that is cooked well done is one thing, but I've seen people be way too overboard on what is sent back and don't want to eat with them.

hometeam was almost exactly the same as Peddler, food & drinks with alcohol.
my NY strip came out (very?) well. I think i said Med Rare to Med...same with another NY strip
The guy who didn't want another had the cut-to-order Ribeye....like a 2.5" cut. ginormous. asked for it rare, it came out medium, minimum.
granted, they tried their best to accomodate him, he just had a lot of outside #### goin on that week
my 2nd steak WAS cooked perfectly for me and was pretty tasty
