I love what Dabo has built at Clemson

One of the big selling points that Dabo has sold over the last 10 years is “family”. I love that. Unfortunately, it’s a double edged sword. At Bama, it’s all about business. The best player plays no matter what. If a coach isn’t cutting it, they are out. There is a standard there, winning, period. The way Dabo runs things, these kind of seasons will happen from time to time. I believe he will right the ship but it might take a break up in the family.

I think Dabo knew more than Streeter had to go but he and Riley agreed to give it one year. There simply is no way now that anyone of the position coaches that have failed can complain when they are replaced by Riley’s choice, they were given a shot. I expect to hear a couple of big announcements come January

At most successful football programs, the evaluation for who is starting on Saturday happens by Tuesday of every week. Noone should feel entitled to their job no matter how they performed last week.

It's been 3 years. When is he going to right the ship? Is he waiting for it to hit an iceberg first? The signal went out and the horn sounded over two years ago " iceberg dead ahead". But tge ship is still heading right for it. It may be too late.

This season will be rough.... but I believe Dabo will clean house with poor coaches. I think like said earlier in this post, he will give Riley a lot of say so on offensive coaching assistants.
My gut reaction is to fire a lot of them today, but that would have disastrous effects on the season and recruiting. Like Dabo said, he will circle the wagons and try and block out the noise.
I am sure he is having one on one discussions with every coach to give them the season to figure it out or their job will be in jeopardy.
Every position... on and off the field is always up for grabs in any organization. This should be the same even if its friends and family.
I trust Dabo will make the hard choices.

It started with Riley. I imagine he was hoping that hiring him would fix the situation. I think it’s obvious that it will take more.

Honestly, I just want kids who are tough, want to play football at an extremely high level, can stay out of trouble and graduate. Full stop. Don't care if they are have a "great college experience" or feel like they are part of some imaginary family. Camaraderie will come naturally to team mates.

And I should add, the same for all of coaches. Go home to your family. Come to the football complex to do your #### job and put us in a position to win.
