he had a first yr (not newborn) rabbit halfway down, so he was busy. Stupid rabbit. At least he was enjoying his last meal. That moment, next to her raised bed gardens, after deer and rabbits have eaten more of our plants than ever this spring, was not the moment to explain the circle of life and how our buddy was eating our enemy. decent sized black snake too, sigh. It'll pay off for me later, hero snake slayer that I am. Winning, Looosing. I hope she wails like that by the end of our 2 min of bliss.

where the snake(s) got in and out, and occasionally left a molted skin... she wouldn't hear it
but now she complains about the mouse droppings and having to set out traps/poison
{before we sealed the space, we never had mice...}

But they are tasty. Just skin it and gut then throw it on the grill basted in spices and olive oil. I’ve had a few snakes like that and they are delicious.

Well I was always taught, if you killed it you have to eat it.

Can’t take a life and throw it away. I grew up on a mountain lake, hunting and fishing.

garden spiders. Some people call them writing spiders cause of those big awesome webs they make. Anyway. I never messed with them cause I always noticed the mosquitos and crane flies wouldn’t be so prevalent while those were around. We had a good thing going until my wife moved in a swept a web off the side of the house. It took another season to get back on the spiders good side.

Don't kill those. Only kill the venomous ones.
Which, you know, tend to stay away when you don't kill the ones like the one you killed.
We have an Eastern King Snake camped out in our yard and we let that mother ###### do work.
