18-4 (10-1Acc) my goodness how is that team not ranked with a top 10 win over Kentucky we have played good on the road as well I think it’s glaringly obvious that these ESPN people and all the rest of the sports media doesn’t like the ACC at all and doesn’t give Clemson any love. Screw em I hope Brad uses this to fuel the guys we better make them respect us when play Duke. Let’s go.

I think the point is that we already have.
Not ranked at 18-4 and 10-1 in the ACC, however diminished, is preposterous.

We've won 9 of last 10 games and are 18-4. UConn won 7 of last 10 and are 16-6 and all 3 losses to unranked teams. They are 19th and we're not in the list.
It's like a cheerleaders/frat girls clique. We don't have the looks to ever join the club.

1) Our program is not getting much respect.
2) Our conference/schedule is not getting much respect.
3) Our coaching staff isn’t getting much respect.
We just need to figure out which it is and work on changing that narrative.

The Clemson basketball program is still viewed as very average, with a penchant for inconsistency. Losing to a horrible scrub team like the coots just verifies this for the pollsters. Clemson will have to have a legit big-time win and no more scrub losses to overcome that perception this season. If we could somehow manage to beat Duke at home and avoid an embarrassing loss to GT in between, we can earn the cred to get the national recognition that we'd like to see. But then if the mediocre tarholes come in and beat us two days later, it's all gone down the toilet.
Moral of this story - if you're a program like Clemson with a coach like CBB, you gotta do more to get respect. Losing to scrubs like that coots doesn't help.

Normally when people say this stuff I think they are being crybabies.
It's actually pretty absurd we aren't ranked in the AP.
Hopefully Brownell can capture that disrespect and turn it into motivation for team.
