I just bought tickets to the National Championship game

Probably paid too much $924 a ticket.
Lower level seats
I figure I can resell if we don't make it.

You are correct, in my earlier post, I should have said between 900 and 1600 per pair. I bought the right to buy 4 tickets at face value from Teamtix.com , earlier in the season for 35 dollars each ticket. I had to pay the 35x4 = 140 dollars at the time that I bought the "right to buy" . I only get to buy the tickets if Clemson makes the championship game. If Clemson does not make the championship game , I am out the 140 bucks.
THe way their system works is they establish odds on schools making the game and sell the tickets multiple times. The odds are always changing. It is a very interesting business model.
I live in Scottsdale, so I am really hoping the Tigers make it !

What you paid for lowers is actually a steal. Anything in lowers is going to be well north of $1K. Most Clemson fans don't understand (due to lack of experience of having Clemson in these kinds of events) that these types of games are national events like Final Fours, the Masters, Kentucky Derby, etc..... The National Championship game will not be like the BCS Orange Bowls you've gone to a couple of times. Whole different ballgame. I suspect the semifinal game market to tighten up significantly between now and Dec. 31. JMO based on what I've experienced before...

When Auburn made it in 2011, it had been decades since Auburn had been there. Ticket prices averages went to 2k. However last year because it was Ohio state and Oregon, prices were only $500 on average. Its a gamble

I hope we do make it so you can go and enjoy it, I was at the 1981 National Championship game and joy and happiness has sustained me for 34 years. I'll be where all the other poor folks will be, watching from home but hey, at least I get to watch it! Go Tigers!!

Danggggg! Should've checked out teamtix.com
Buy the rights to tickets for upper or lower at face value which is 450 or 550. Now would've only saved you about $100 a ticket cause right are so much. Got my right a few months back for $20 a ticket.

for the Section I'm in.... It would have cost $352 just to reserve plus $550 for the ticket then $30 to ship. All in that's $932..
