I haven't had a "GET OFF OF MY LAWN" post in a while,

so here goes. Two fashion trends I have noticed multiple times over the past few days, and I need someone more in touch than myself to explain.
First, it's hot as hades, and I see guys wearing shorts and flip-flops, with a long sleeve hoodie jackets with the hoodie up over the head. It's got to be hot as blazes in there.
Second, I was in Costco and there were two guys there with the waist of their pants at mid-thigh with their underwear fully exposed. One was obviously having trouble walking normally because the movement of his legs was so restricted. I see this everywhere now.
Why?
And also, GET OFF OF MY LAWN!

Yep, saw a 20 something Eminem wannabe yesterday with a hoodie.
Also still enjoy seeing folks wearing surgical masks at the grocery store parked well south of their nose. Not sure what the point of any of that is.

Can’t speak for what you saw, but I wear long sleeve hooded fishing shirts all the time. Free Fly, Marsh Wear, etc. Even being long sleeved, they’re lighter and more comfortable than any short sleeve cotton t shirt, even in the summer. Maybe it’s just a coastal yee boy thing, but you can catch me in FF shorts, flip flops or loafers, and a fishing hoodie pretty much 3 or 4 days a week.

or protective lightweight clothing worn for any practical purpose as far as I can tell. It's 100 degrees and they are wearing extremely hot clothing with their heads covered up and faces hidden inside of a hood. Just seems like a high price to pay to try to look cool or make a fashion statement. But, if that's what they want, to each his own.

Between the girls wearing baggy clothes and mom jeans and whatever exactly it is gen z boys are doing, I think it’s safe to say I don’t understand that generation at all.

not light hoodies, hoodies that are at least moderately thick. Maybe just noticing it more cause it's so out of place. Plenty of old guy fashion statements to make fun of, but not because they're stoopid for the current weather. Well, maybe socks with sandals is stoopid.
