How the Tigers would have played if Wright had not left early for the NBA. Barnes came in and had an unbelievable season in his first year with the 'slab five'. Wright would have made it a really amazing season for Clemson BB

Brownell is sleeping on this one...

and he still didn't make the offer this week... he shouldn't assume that dad's love for the school translates to the children and i'm afraid that there is going to be no love lost when he commits elsewhere... he's the top sophomore in the state right now with room to grow AND improve... this is just baffling...

the kid's sister / Sharone's daughter is on the CU womens team. I suspect the relationship is pretty close already. BB knows what HE'S doing.

Maybe the best all-around inside/big man we ever had. 6th overall pick in NBA draft.

Elden Campbell. All-time inside man would have to be Horace Grant if you don't differentiate between C and PF. C for me would be Elden and Sharone, 1A/1B...
those were some good times in Tiger basketball!!

Dale is a close #2 to 1A/1B. I never saw Tree Rollins play, i'm only vouching for the guys that I watched. I only saw Larry Nance and Moose Campbell a couple of times because I only saw them play in tournament games...

i'm sure Stan Rome, Skip Wise, Tree Rollins, Larry Nance, or Horace Grant would seriously beg to differ...

if you have seen Jr play, do you think that he is worthy of an offer yet or does he need to show more to gain an offer?

He is young and plays in a tough 4A region. I think in the next 2 years if he works hard he can help Clemson

i just don't like being to slow with or overconfident in a legacy... all offers are based on potential anyway but the inherent message in the lack of an offer is that we value players 1, 2, and 3 over you and your abilities despite your connection to the program... we watched Larry Nance Jr bloom late and now he is with the Lakers, I would hate to wait on the bloom and miss out here because his dad LOVES the University...

The kid has talent but he is not Raymond Felton. He has a chance to grow as a player over the next few years. He needs to hit the weights for sure, I think he will be a good player as he gets older

the only issue with BB waiting for him to put in work

is that the other offers are working against BB in PR department, because he already has some decent offers...

Brownell needs to hurry up and offer this young man. He can play and will only get better as he gets older. It's an insult to his father that his son has not been officially offered already. Wait much longer and this kid won't be a Tiger!

He's a sophomore for crying out loud. Was his dad offered as a soph? Pretty sure his dad understands all about the process. The team is still working on this and next year's signing class...tossing out offers to '18's is premature...in my view. If he was 'Lebron', yeah...but....

times have changed, schools are offering much earlier than when Sr. was being recruited and if you are not offering '18s, you're putting yourself behind the 8-ball. Jr. already has offers from Cal, UConn and FSU, these are not mid-major offers, but high major tournament teams. Jr. will earn a scholly on his own merit, but schools must project further out these days than ever before, so we've got to do it too. besides, we have already offered some '18s. we certainly can't act like it's our choice and we get to pick from the best out there right now... this ain't the football team...

Do you really think you know more about recruiting than Brownell?
Feb 15, 2016, 8:58 PM
|
|
Because that's how it sounds. If Brownell has not offered him, there is a reason - and it's not because he doesn't understand how college basketball recruiting works.

Ok dude we get it.
You want him to offer, and he hasn't yet.
The kid is a sophomore. Relax. If Brownell was there in person, chances are that offers goes out at some point.
