I run chrome desktop mode. Ads are there but don't block anything. The formatting is often crazy misaligned but the site is readable

I have zero ads, PC or iOS . I don't think Android has anything to do with the ads. I have a subscription but it's for editing, I don't have Ultimate for the ads.

The Android OS functions differently than iOS. There are things you will experience on one that may not occur on the other.

I’ve used an old Chromebook also and didn’t get ads. That’s android.

I just switched to Ultimate and now have no ads on iOS. The ads on iOS were pretty obnoxious and sometimes difficult to dismiss and would make reading the forums/articles challenging.
