I have Briningstool at #2 for TE

I would love to see him make an amazing catch in the ACCCG/CFP/Natty to move past Leggett, who remains at #1.
Without his outstretched snag on the DW4 game winning drive, we never get the greatness of HR13 flipping the ball to the ref, or Boulware's speech as the confetti fell.
Go Syracuse-Forest Orange-Deacons!

Leggett also had a huge TD in the win over Louisville that year. He made some big plays, for sure.

I'll give Leggett all the credit in the world with becoming a really good TE for our Tigers, but it took him a while to start showing how good he could be...

Ahead of Jake.
Jake makes a lot of catches but he makes a lot of big drops too, and his blocking is far behind the other three I mentioned.

Dwayne Allen was a Bull of a TE, he was guaranteed yardage after the catch, and he could block with the best of them!!!

I rather have Dwayne Allen in our offense right now vs Briningstool. Nothing against Briningstool, he is good but Dwayne coukd block, run over CBs and catch the ball. We just didn't use TEs then like now.

The reception record is nice but I have Briningstool at 6th...
1. Jordan Leggett 2. Dwayne Allen 3. Bennie Cunningham 4. Michael Palmer 5. Davis Allen
I know Davis Allen was a late bloomer but, by his senior year, he was an excellent all-around TE. He had all the tools.

Keith Jennings is another one.

I like this list, and might also add a couple others. John McMakin (people forget the immaculate reception was caught by a Tiger. He was phenomenal.), K.D. Dunn, and Keith Jennings all have an argument.
Briningstool has caught a ton of passes in his time at Clemson and is a threat at tight end. But he's also dropped a ton of passes and he's never been the threat in the receiving game some other great tight ends have been. Namely, he hasn't been enough of a threat over his time to make up for his really bad blocking (compare him to like Bowers, Pitts, or Moss for recent receiving tight ends who weren't as good blocking). He'd crack my top ten, but he'd be near the bottom.
