I have a lot of respect for these Syracuse fans! This thread

Jan 18, 2015, 12:14 PM

is what sports is all about. For months they planned and coordinated a basketball trip in order to have a great time in Clemson, following and supporting their team, fellowship with each other and seeing another venue. They had no idea that the game that there is no way they should have had a slight chance in losing, would be over in the first 10 minutes of play. And the truth is none of us ever know. Like the time I went to the Gator Bowl and saw Syracuse beat us 41-0. But I have gotten lately where I will simply not go if I don't think Clemson has a chance. I didn't go to the bowl game and there have been other games, some of them in Clemson.

I need to remember that just because the team loses doesn't mean it was all a waste. It should be a lot about having a good time leading up to and throughout the day with friends and family. These fans had a pre-game party and everything at TD's. There is no doubt Syracuse will win more basketball games versus Clemson than they lose over the next few years, but it had to be a tough day for those in this thread. But I ti my hat to them and really have a lot of respect for them and the fact that they were there to support their team.

Well said. Clemson needs more supporters and less fans***

I'll post some pictures tonight."

1: I agree with your post but let's not sell ourselves short. Our fan base supports our Tigers on road games everywhere as well as anyone else and better than most. I can't get to all the road games but go to several each year.

The Cuse fans are good at organizing road trips and putting together group activities, tickets and parking. I found out about them 2 years ago when planning our road trip for the Syracuse football game. They are good bunch of people and one guy even sent me a bunch of parking passes for the last Clemson-Maryland football game. We"re always glad to see our opponents travel to Clemson and have a good time even when they lose. I'm really looking forward to our Louisville football road trip this year....just need the schedule so I can make plans.

Love me some Syracuse people.

Had a blast with them when they came down for football last year.

Boston College folks are great, too.

Great fan base. Very good addition to ACC imo.

Despite being down in football recently they really are passionate about it and I'm sure they'll be back. Basketball goes without saying. We have some friends in Syracuse and we will get up there for a game one of these days.
