We all saw DJ perform last season and he looked outstanding. This season with the pressure of being "the guy", it's been up and down. He is amped up, missing some throws, not putting the right touch on the ball, etc. So how does it get fixed? Either a 1/2 dose of Xanax before kickoff or go "old school".
By old school, I mean HUDDLE. Let him lead from the huddle. There is no down side to the huddle unless we are going tempo and at that point the offense is flowing and he's on it. Slow it down, let them get on the same page, get the jitters out before the snap. This would be a very simple install and truly could help. Everybody is different and this could possibly be not just a game changer but a season changer. What could it hurt? As it stands we have 2-3 possessions a game where we are in a rhythm and things look to be clicking. But there are 2-3 in between those when we are not. Huddle up and get #5 out there leading his team, making the right decisions, getting everybody on the same page and let's go win some games.
